Allison Cormier
Research Assistant
Allison was born in New Brunswick and moved to Calgary shortly thereafter. She is the recipient of an Alberta Children's Hospital summer studentship award, and will complete her Honours thesis in Psychology at the University of Calgary in the Fall. Her interest in working with pediatric populations began after taking several courses in developmental psychology and working with children.
Allison’s thesis will explore how children’s memories of pain impact future pain experiences, and how these memories might be positively or negatively influenced. She is fascinated by how pain experiences in childhood can contribute to psychopathology across the lifespan.
In her free time, Allison enjoys being in the mountains, reading, and going to the gym.
