Karen Cobos (She/Her)
PhD-MD Student; Co-supervised by Dr. Jillian Miller
Karen graduated with a BSc from the University of Calgary’s Zoology program in 2022. She is currently a PhD student in Neuroscience at the University of Calgary training under the primary supervision of Dr. Jillian Miller and is co-supervised by Dr. Melanie Noel. Her research focuses on the relationship between hippocampal efficiency, memory biases and pain outcomes in youth undergoing major surgeries. She hopes her research will help open the door to more effective treatments for youth at risk of developing chronic pain.
