Kendra grew up in Nova Scotia and completed her Honours thesis in the ABC Pain Research Lab. Her research focused on how pain is portrayed and gendered in children’s popular media. Her interest in psychology developed through her experiences volunteering at crisis lines and in research labs. Kendra has interests in both child and adult psychopathology, and is fascinated by how childhood trauma can influence mental health outcomes across the lifespan.
Kendra looks forward to learning more about the sociocultural influences on pediatric pain, and hopes to pursue a career in Clinical Psychology after gaining experience in the field.
